Tommie Belle Carreathers Williams 

Tommie Belle Carreathers Williams is a 1950 graduate of Terrell High School. Her education credentials include B.S. and M.E. Degrees from Prairie View A&M University and Administrative Certification from North Texas State University. Her working career consists of counselor in several High School, first, third, and seventh grade classroom teacher, basketball coach, cheerleader sponsor, and vice president for curriculum at Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas.

She was the first African American Administrator in the Arlington I.S.D. Mrs. Williams also holds the distinction of being the first parent/community Ombudsman in Arlington I.S.D. 

The Tommie B. Williams Elementary School was named and dedicated in her honor with a special ceremony in Arlington, Texas in 1991. She retired in 1990..
